The Young Liberal Movement is the youth wing of the Victorian Liberal Party open to people aged between 16 and 30. Its mission is to provide an outlet for those disposed to centre-right political ideas to discuss politics, work for the election of Liberal governments and training tomorrow's leaders of the Liberal Party today.
Our activities
Becoming a Young Liberal Movement enables you to fully participate in the processes of the Liberal Party – debating policy at State Council, working towards the election of Liberal candidates to Parliament by volunteering in marginal seat campaigns and handing out how-to-vote cards on election day, and developing your political skills through forums such as the Future Leaders Program, the Liberal Book Club and the Liberal Speakers Group.
Our vision
Today’s Young Liberals were inspired to get into politics by the likes of John Howard, Peter Costello, Jeff Kennett and now Tony Abbott. We want to see a country of economic prosperity through the pursuit of free markets, free trade and lower taxes; foreign relations governed by both Australia’s national interest and a sense of what is morally right; a society where the rights of individuals are not intruded upon by government.
Get involved
If you’re aged between 16 and 30, believe in free markets, lower taxes and the rights of the individual, and want to do your bit to elect Liberal governments, then join the Young Liberals today.
